Last updated: 2026-09-05 ·

SawNest is a cut list optimizer for woodworkers made by Dog Foot. It runs entirely on your device — there is no account, no server, and no network use.

1. What we collect /

Nothing. SawNest has no account system, no login, and no server that stores your data. We do not collect, transmit, or receive any personal information.

2. What stays on your device /

Projects: part sizes, stock sheets, kerf and rotation options, and the computed layouts /
Offcut inventory you registered /
Settings such as unit (mm / inch), offcut threshold, and appearance / 단위(mm·인치)·자투리 임계·화면 모드 설정
Widget values (offcut count, latest yield) stored in the app group on this device /

3. No tracking, no ads, no analytics SDK / 추적·광고·분석 SDK 없음

SawNest contains no advertising SDK, no third-party analytics SDK, and no tracking identifiers. We do not use the App Tracking Transparency permission because we do not track you. Aggregate download figures that Apple and Google provide to every developer are not linked to you.

4. Network use /

SawNest does not require an internet connection and never sends your projects anywhere. The app is free with no in-app purchases.

5. Files you export /

PDF cut sheets and JSON backups are created on your device and leave it only when you share them yourself through the system share sheet. Temporary PDFs are deleted after sharing.

6. Deleting your data /

Open Settings and choose "Delete all data" to erase everything permanently on the device. Deleting the app also removes its stored data. Because we never hold a copy, there is nothing for us to delete or recover on your behalf.

7. Children / 아동

SawNest is a workshop tool not directed to children under 13, and it collects no information from anyone.
